OE filter adapters are not reliable because they are made of plastic, which makes them vulnerable to breaking and tends to get them unscrewed over time. When these OE screws fall out, the transmission looses its oil and complete transmission failure will occur. Goerend filter adapters are made from billet steel and can be used over and over after each filter change.
