Description
Allison NSBU Switch & Connector Repair Kit | 2001-2004
One of the most common problems with the Allison transmission on 2001-2004 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD trucks with the LB7 6.6L Duramax diesel is failure of the Neutral Safety Back Up (NSBU) switch. The same genuine GM switch is also used on many 2001-2004 GM 2500 and 3500 gas trucks and SUVs. A failed switch can cause a no start condition, a gear indicator that doesn't follow the shifter, or a transmission stuck in limp mode.
This kit pairs a genuine GM NSBU switch (19540535) with our NSBU Connector Repair Kit, so you can replace the switch and repair corroded or damaged connectors at the same time. The connector kit comes with OE style connectors and approximately 12 in. of color coded lead for an easy install, and the switch installs with common hand tools.
