GM Cylinder Head Bolts, 8mm, 12 Pack, L5P | 2017-2026
This is a set of 12 genuine GM 8mm cylinder head bolts for the 6.6L Duramax L5P. The bolts are GM 11611598, M8 x 1.25 x 114 mm. These are the smaller head bolts that go in along with the 36 main M12 head bolts, and GM lists 12 of them per engine, so one pack covers both cylinder heads. They are torque-to-yield, one-time-use bolts and should be replaced with new ones any time the heads come off.
Head bolts are stretched to their clamping load when torqued, and reusing them risks bolts that won't hold proper clamp load on the head gasket. A complete set of new GM bolts means every 8mm bolt torques the same, giving the new head gaskets even clamping.
