Transfer Case Range Fork, NP261XHD / 261HD | 1998-2007
This replacement shift range fork fits the GM NP261 manual floor-shift transfer case: the NP261XHD used behind the Duramax diesel and the NP261HD used in gas HD trucks from 1998 to 2007. The range fork moves the range hub between high and low range when you move the floor shift lever. A worn or bent range fork can cause hard shifting into or out of 4-Low, the transfer case jumping out of range, or grinding during shifts. The fork is listed as A18 on the transfer case exploded-view diagram.
Does this fit my electronic-shift (push-button) transfer case? No. This fork is for the NP261 manual floor-shift case only. The electronic-shift NP263 uses a different range fork. See our Electronic Shift Range Fork, 263XHD/263HD .
