Deluxe Bearing and Seal Kit, NP246 Transfer Case | 1999-2007
The Merchant Automotive Deluxe Bearing and Seal Kit includes the bearings, seals, thrust washers and wear parts needed to overhaul the NP246 electric-shift transfer case used in 1999-2007 GM 1500 trucks, Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche and Yukon XL. Instead of tracking down a dozen individual parts, you get every bearing and seal for the rebuild in one kit. That includes both the 27 and 32 spline input gear bearings, so it covers either input shaft.
Once an NP246 is apart, every bearing and seal should be replaced. A worn bearing left in place brings back the noise, and a reused seal brings back the leak. Worn range fork pads let the fork contact the shift collar, so replacing them during the overhaul helps prevent grinding and pop-out. Replace if worn or damaged.
