Deluxe Seal Kit, 261XHD Transfer Case, Duramax | 2001-2007
The Merchant Automotive Deluxe Seal Kit includes every seal needed to overhaul the 261XHD transfer case used behind the Allison on 2001-2007 Duramax LB7, LLY and LBZ trucks. It covers the front input, front output and rear output seals, the shift selector shaft seal, the speed sensor and detent plug O-rings, the pickup tube seal and the transmission adapter gasket. Instead of ordering each seal separately, you get everything in one kit.
A leaking seal lets transfer case fluid drain out, and the 261XHD depends on fluid level to keep the pump and chain lubricated. Once the case is apart, replacing every seal at once means no single old seal is left to leak and send the truck back in. Replace if worn or damaged.
