Maintenance Filter Pack, Duramax | 2001 - 2016
The Merchant Automotive Maintenance Filter Pack puts the three filters you replace most often on a Duramax into one kit: the engine oil filter, the fuel filter and the Allison transmission external spin on filter. It fits 2001-2016 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD trucks with the 6.6L Duramax diesel (LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMM and LML) and the Allison 1000 transmission.
How often should I replace the Allison spin on filter? Merchant Automotive recommends replacing the Allison external spin on filter every 12,000 miles. Owners on the DuramaxDiesels forum report changing it every other oil change. Check your owner's manual for GM's interval for your truck.
