Rubber Fuel Hose Kit, LLY Duramax | 2004.5-2005
The Merchant Automotive Rubber Fuel Hose Kit replaces the rubber low-pressure fuel hoses on 2004.5-2005 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD pickups with the LLY 6.6L Duramax diesel. The five molded hoses are shaped to the factory routing and built for diesel fuel, and the kit includes the short straight fuel return hose, so you can replace every hardened or cracked hose in one job. This kit does not fit Kodiak or TopKick trucks.
Factory rubber fuel hoses harden, swell and crack with age and engine heat. A failing hose can leak fuel, leave a diesel smell under the hood, or let air into the fuel system. Air in the fuel can cause hard starts, rough running, loss of power or the need to re-prime after a fuel filter change. When one hose fails, the others are usually close behind, so replacing the full set at once saves you from chasing leaks one hose at a time.
