This complete set of 24 lower valve cover bolt isolator grommets services one 2001–2004 LB7 6.6L Duramax engine in Silverado and Sierra 2500HD/3500HD trucks. Each lower valve cover bolt uses one grommet to seal the bolt and isolate the cover from engine noise and vibration, 12 per bank. The LB7's injectors sit under the lower valve cover, so these grommets come off with every injector job. After years of engine heat they harden and flatten, and reused grommets are a common source of oil seeps and added valvetrain noise. A fresh set seals the covers properly when they go back on.
