The Allison 1000 Torque Converter Housing is a replacement transmission bell housing for 2003-early 2007 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra HD trucks equipped with the 6.6L Duramax diesel engine and Allison 1000 automatic transmission. This early-style housing features the speed sensor boss required for transmissions with a bell housing-mounted speed sensor. It includes two 7/8" transmission cooler line fittings and is designed to replace original housings with cracks, stripped mounting holes, or damage caused by torque converter or flexplate failure.
A cracked or damaged Allison 1000 bell housing can affect transmission mounting integrity and proper alignment between the engine and transmission. Replacing the damaged housing restores the original bell housing configuration while retaining the speed sensor mounting location required on earlier Allison transmissions. The included 7/8" cooler line fittings provide the correct connection configuration for applicable trucks without requiring separate fitting purchases.
