The Merchant Automotive Torque Converter Bolt Kit includes the 6 bolts that fasten the torque converter to the flexplate on 2001–2026 6.6L Duramax Silverado and Sierra 2500HD/3500HD trucks with the Allison 1000 or 10L1000 10-speed transmission. They work with both the stock converter and most aftermarket performance converters, and they're the fix for stripped or snapped converter bolts. Converter bolts take a lot of stress, and reusing old bolts when you replace a converter or pull the transmission risks them loosening or failing. A fresh set gives you clean threads and full clamping force.
Will these bolts work with my aftermarket converter? Yes, in most cases. The kit works with the stock converter and most aftermarket performance converters, including converters that need a slightly shorter bolt. If your converter maker specifies a different bolt, follow its instructions.
